### Jaizen's Proportion Post

Part 1)
Rate: Compares two quantities measured in different units.
Example:

Ratio: The quantitative relation between two amounts showing the number of times one walue contained within the other
Example:

Blue car's to Red car
2:1

Proportion: A part, shape, or number considerd in comparative relation in a whole
Example:

Part 2)

• 5 hours to travel 360 kilometers is about _____km/h.

• 72 Kilometers/Hours

• Emma saves 28 cents of every dollar that she earns. Emma earned \$75 last week. How much money did Emma save last week?

• Part 3)

What are the three ways you can prove that equivalent ratio statements are true?
3/4 = 12/16 or 4/9 = 16/32

Part 5)

• Does this seem fair?
• No because he was homeless and he needed the money to survive and he also told the turth.

• With what you know about proportion look and read what is in the image above. Does it seem just and fair?
• No it is not fair, because Roy stole little money and Paul stole 3 billion dollars and was sent in prison .

• Why have you made this choice?
•   Because Pual stole 3 billion dollar and was sent in prison for 40 years and Roy stole 100 dollars and was sent to jail for 15 years.

• What would you have done if you were the judge
• I would give Paul R. Allen a longer time in prison and give Roy Bown a sorter time and put him in jail.
