Patricia B's Pay it Forward

Part 1
What is "Pay it Forward".
Pay it Forward is when you do a random act of kindness towards other people.

Part 2
What was your Pay It Forward act of kindness?
I did my Pay it Forward activity with Cheryl and Jasmine. It was giving goodie bags to the children at the Children's Hospital.

Why did you choose this activity?
We chose to give goodie bags to the children at Children's hospital because we know that we're very fortunate to be waking up everyday knowing that we're not ill and so, we thought that giving them gifts would make them feel happy and make them feel a little less sick.

Who did you help?
We helped the children at the Children's Hospital.

What did you do?
We bought loot bags, crayons, paddle balls, masks, Welch's and arranged them so that 6 loot bags have the same items in them.

When did you do your act of kindness?
We did our act of kindness on November 29, 2012.

Part 3
How did your act of kindness go?
Our act of kindness went great.

What Happened?
We met a lady that works there and we told her our reason for our visit. She was glad that we got gifts for 6 kids. We were not aloud to see the sick kids. We just gave the loot bags to the lady for distribution to some of the kids.

How did you feel?
I felt happy because we got to do something good for others.

How did the person or people react?
The lady was happy when we told her what we prepared for the kids.

Did you ask the person or people to "Pay It Forward"?
Yes, we asked the lady to "Pay It Forward."

How did they react to your request?
The lady already knew what the activity "Pay it Forward" was but she's still positive about the idea of helping others without receiving anything back.

Part 4
Why is the idea of "Pay it Forward" important?
The idea of "Pay it Forward" is important because they're trying to teach you to do good deeds without expecting something in return.

Has your act of kindness made a difference?
Our act of kindness made a difference more to us than it did to the those kids because we felt a lot better after doing this activity. It made me believe in myself more because now I know that I'm capable of doing something for others.
