1. a) I don't agree with David's method because he showed the addition statement instead of the multiplication. 
   b) I would use 3 groups of -7 because it shows the multiplication statement. 

8. a) (+2) + (+2) + (+2) + (+2) + (+2) + (+2) + (+2) 
    b) (-9) + (-9) + (-9) + (-9) 

12. a) (-1) x (+7)
      b) (-2) x (-5) 

15. 12 x 3 = 36 
The aircraft descend 36 m.
