Reiner's Fraction Scribepost

When dividing fractions with a whole number and a fraction, remember to convert the whole into a fraction and always remember that when you convert it into a fraction, the denominator is always 1. Now, dividing fractions is the same thing as multiplying a fraction because you have to divide the numerator and the denominator with another fraction:
Here is a video of how to divide fractions:

Here's some fun links you can go to to help you practice:

Math Test Corrections:

16      3
---- - ---
 9       2

32      27      5
---- - ----- = ----
18      18      18

-------------------------

It would be 128 because 16   x  8        128
                                        ----     ---- = ------ = 128
                                         1         1        1

-------------
1        1          1
---- x ---- = ------
2        4          8

------------

How many groups of 1                5
                                  --- go into ----
                                   2                6
5       1        5
--- X --- = -----
6       2        12

  3. I like the way you explained it to us and told us to convert the whole number when multiplying. You did a good job, but next time you should add a picture/drawing of it.

  4. Good Explanation Reiner! Try to add maybe another picture (pictorial representation) and explain it a little more deeper(?) Also, good job on finding a video that's short but really helpful. You probably just need to change the link since it doesn't work, but overall you did great ☺

  5. I like the way you explained it, simple but well done. I'd suggest you add a picture that shows the process of actually dividing the fractions and make sure the links work. Other than that, good job.

  9. good job Reiner but next time please put in some more examples because with just words and one example of doing it is a little bit harder to understand as aposed to using 3 different ways
