Kiara's Pay it Forward

Part 1

What is "Pay it Forward"?
Pay it Forward is about helping people. It's about making a difference to other people. Being kind to other people. Helping people you know and don't know. Trying to influence the people you helped into  helping other people as well. When you help this person or help many people you don't want anything in return.

Part 2

What was your Pay it Forward "act of kindness"
I did Pay it Forward with my friend Jessica. For my Pay it Forward act of kindness Jessica and I shovelled 17 walk ways on our street.

Jessica and I also collected a full bag of pennies. For the Free the Children.

Why did you choose this activity?
We chose this activity because Jessica and I didn't know what to do. So we where thinking and thinking then we saw our neighbour Margret shovelling. So then we decided to shovel snow for almost everyone on out street.

We also chose the penny activity so a person from the 3rd world countries can have clean water for the rest of their life.

Who did you help?
We helped the people on our street. Such as Margret, Lisa, Trevor, And Horrace and many others.

For the pennies we decided to do more because shovelling snow wasn't enough already. We helped someone who doesn't have clean water in the 3rd world country and now they do for the rest of their life time.
What did you do?
We shovelled snow for our neighbours. So they didn't have to go threw back pain and stuff.

We also collected pennies at Wal-Mart. We filled a whole bag of pennies. So now someone who doesn't have clean water now does for the rest of there life.
When did you do your act of kindness?
We did our act of kindness on November 30, 2012 and December 1, 2012.

For the pennies we did our act of kindness on December 1st, 2012 at like 6:30 pm

Part 3

How did your act of kindness go?
I think Jessica and I did very well. Our goal was 15 walk ways but we ended up doing 17. Which made us really proud that we made our goal. Our other goal was to fill a full bag of pennies in which we did.

What Happened?
We shovelled snow for our neighbours. Which is helping our community. While we where shovelling we where asked if we anted money and hot chocolate. We denied it and said thank you for the offer but we don't want anything in return.
At Wal-Mart we asked people that where coming out for pennies. For someone who doesn't have clean water can now for the rest of there life.

How did you feel?
I feel good about myself because we shovelled snow for elders so they wouldn't slip and fall. Which happened a lot last year. Like what I said before we where offered money and hot chocolate we denied it and said thank you for the offer but we don't want anything in return.

How did the person or people react?
The people where very thankful on what we did. Because most people don't help the community. Also they were very thankful so they didn't have to go threw the pain from shovelling and be really sore.
Some people didn't know what to say. Others said that it is amazing how young we are and we are already trying to make a difference in the world.
Did you ask the person or people to "Pay it Forward"?
No we forgot to.

If you did not ask the person to "Pay it Forward how come?
We forgot.

How did they react to your request?
We forgot to ask them.

Part 4

Why is the idea of "Pay it Forward" important?
It is important because people forget sometimes to do something nice for others. So if you start doing it then others will too. Because you have influenced then. Then Paying it Forward will be a trend.

Has your act of kindness made a difference?
Yes it has because now all the people can walk from there car to their house safely.
Also for the pennies it has also because now people can realize how people live in those countries and now they can help them.

We finished the bag up to the line. :)

You are more important than you realize

That is what we did for Pay it Forward, now its your turn keep Paying it Forward.
