John's Fractions

When multiplying a fractions, make sure they are both written as a fraction, example. 6.

                                                                                                                                      1
Then, you multiply the numerator, then the denominator, eg. 6 x 1 = 6
                                                                                                1    2    2
Then, if needed, simplify, example. 6  x 1 = 6  = 3
                                                       1    2    2
 6 x 1 = 3
       2

This could be said in different ways.
For example:

6 groups of 1
                  2
6  =  1
1      2
