Joel's Algebra Unproject!

Definitions

Variable- A variable is a letter or a symbol that will represent a number in the equation.











In this case, the letter "X" is the variable.

Constant- In algebra a constant is a "fixed value," a number on its own in the equation.












In this equation the number "7" and "5" are the constants!

Co-efficient- When your number in the equation is being multiplied, divided, added, or subtracted by your variable.












In this equation, the number "5x" is the co-efficient.
